RYA Sailing Courses on beautiful Ullswater in the Lake District.
Because our gently curved beach forms a sheltered bay in full view of the Centre, we can provide an ideal setting and is the perfect place to learn.
We can teach everyone from complete beginners, to experienced sailors wishing to perfect their skills.
We run a wide range of courses, and have an extensive fleet of boats so there is plenty of choice for everyone. There is more information on the different options below, together with a brief synopsis of the internationally recognised RYA syllabus.
If you have any additional questions, would like to check availability or would like to book, please contact us.

EXCELLENT Based on 71 reviews Ginny2024-09-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve just come back from an amazing weekend completing my RYA Level 1. Peter, you have the patience of a saint, thank you for giving me the confidence to just carry on through when my nerves were getting the better of me. Couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. All the staff so friendly & considerate (thanks for keeping my silver balls safe, if you know you know) & with a good sense of humour. And it goes without saying, all in the most beautiful setting. No hesitation in recommending you. If this girl can, anybody can. Alex Halliday2024-08-08Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fantastic. We booked our son onto one of their kids week sailing days. From the beginning we dealt with a really great lady called Linnhe who arranged everything for us. The instructor Joe was brilliant and our son had a fabulous day, the very first thing his big smiling face said on emerging from the water was “that was absolutely brilliant, can I come back tomorrow” So we booked him onto a second day, he had such a wonderful time and he hasn’t stopped talking about it. He’s learnt to sail and made some friends. All in an amazing sailing club with really friendly staff. It made my sons holiday. Joel Patrick2024-06-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hired a sailing boat for a few hours, had great fun. Lovely area, lovely staff, and a very reasonable cost. Plus no one fell in, which is always good. Thanks! James O'Connell2024-03-29Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fantastic day on a canoe around the lake.
